  1. whether MBA is not necessary for a better manager but kind of knowledge, skills, a person gets during MBA is really different,MBA enhances teamwork and leadership skills and confidence which is very necessary to survive in today's corporate world.
It definitely helps one's to gain new heights in his/her business. While doing MBA you get enough exposure as to handle real life problems. It increases your efficiency and performance. The set of knowledge you get during the MBA study would help you very much to run your business successfully .Moreover during MBA a student has to give many presentation, to submit project files, assignments, tests & group exercises like group discussion ,debate, extempore etc. these all are very important for a person to nourish one's talent & personality and obviously for becoming a better manager.

  2. If this question would have been raised at least 3 decades before,i would have been with a view that a good manager need not to hold an MBA degree because, in earlier days, people holding such creditable posts didn't have high qualification to cushion them.Inclination and willingness to work hard and be in industry, get practical knowledge through hands on experience, observing co workers and honing one's skills and channelizing them was necessary.Instead of acquiring management skills through rational study all use to follow there leaders blindly (with no questions,no hesitation) example:leaders like Rama Krishna,Duryodhana,Vibhishana,Bharat.Especially how they earned popularity and comand over masses.(this is an example which is a long back time centuries ago)

However while considering present scenario I SAY,YES! it is very necessary. An MBA degree gives us a full fledged insight into the nitty gritties and intricacies of the business world. Not only does it gives us great ideas, but it teaches us how to start and finish a job. That is why employers like college degree holders. We started something and finish it.We are showing that we will take few years out of our life to better ourselves for the rest of our life.

MBA provides us to look at situation in different perspectives.I agree that people do succeed without MBA degrees. But it takes years of hard work and experimentation's to achieve a goal. This can be cut short by having an MBA degree.People talk about success only, not about failure.Adding an MBA would enhance our skills in management and improve our thought process. It
helps us to get a break in opportunities. How we apply and succeed totally depends on how much research, hard work and thinking we had put in the project.

At last i would like to conclude that
MBA gives us platform, but it has very little connection to our performance. So we have to make our selves that capable to face critical situations. Also, i do agree that in the last activity all those five business tycoon's are/were not management degree holders .BUT as son of DHIRU BHAI AMBANI is to survive in our generation so he has taken degree. What i need to say is sooner or latter every one need's degree as the above example clears being a good manager he took the degree.so i think my point need no more justifications.

    thanks.

  3. yes i think MBA is necessary for a better manager becausea successful manager requires more knowledge, efficiency, the ability to learn from his mistakes, ability to observe from the practical situations, more than everything the confidence..I think an MBA will shape up most of these qualities...but its not a must..its up to the necessity of the aspirants who have ability to achieve something.

  4. No, according to my point of view M.B.A. is not neccessary for the managers or business entity coz running a business and managing things is born ability of an individual who has interst in business and managing people. we Know during M.B.A. an individual reads books about the situation tht he ll hv to face in his upcoming life bt this knowledge is nt a sufficient fr tht one becoz no book teachs us how to give bribe and how to get a project illigallly these things he learns from his experiences and from his seniors.bookish knowledge is nt sufficient to survive in the market in today's era.
one thing more the most ceo's and managers who are managing their company today, most of are not graduate and we are talking about management.....
today india is flooded with no. of b schools every second person is doing mba.......
nd we know how these b- schools teah them?
how do they prepare them for the business ??
most of the students in rural area ..they dnt know why they are doing mba ??
their answer is my freind is doing so m ...
so can we think tht these students and these kind of colleges are helping in growth of the industry or a nation.....

i hv few names like D.B. Ambani, Shara Shree, Bill gates these are nt gradauted from any b school bt they hv had ability to manage , to give the direction , they hv a vision to do something extra which is nt teach by any school or colleges...........

  5. Do MBA's make better managers or business leaders? The MBA debate continues furiously. So is the popularity of MBA programs worldwide. Though popular the management studies might be they make a very minuscule percent of successful CEO's and business leaders compared to legendary leaders of business who are non MBA's.

An MBA degree is at best a degree which due to its expensiveness and academic entry barriers attracts the top 5% of the students who are generally good in disciplined academics. The HR fraternity mistakenly thinks because they constitute the top of the academic populace, especially the premium Management Educational Institutes in the world, they must be good.

The usefulness of the management education program has been hard to measure and evaluate. While it cannot be denied the stress on analytical abilities and concepts does give a broad view of what constitutes management, one can also learn the same through self studies easily if one can only exercise the disciplines of the academics into one's own lifestyle.

  6. If this question can be interpreted to mean "does the pursuit and attainment of an MBA lead to a more effective manager" then the answer must be subjective and situational. It is true, there are successful business leaders who hold MBA degrees but equally so, there are those who do not.
MBA is a highly professional post Graduate course and by doing this course one can be able to acquire high level administrative knowledge which is more helpful to manage a business
See, its more of MBA education and not just degree. You could have MBA degree but if you haven't really developed yourself the business bent of mind / knowledge, you will be struggling big time in managing your responsibilities.
By seeing today’s situation i think MBA is must because if you donot have a degree nobody will appoint you in any field of any type of organisations.
on the other hand we can say that many persons are their who donot do mba but r doing very well
    for example,
"Lalu Prasad Yadav didn't done MBA, but he is in a position to teach the students of mba of Harward University".Thats it wt i have to say.

  7. according to my point of view M.B.A. is not neccessary for the managers or business entity. for a good manager practicaly knoelege about the business strategybe necessary nt book knowlege.
DB Ambani,Bill gates these are nt gradauted from any b school bt they hv ability to manage
according to me graduation bst for basic knowlege for business BBA or B.com.
B.com is better than MBA coz B.com studnt have practical dependnt on Accounts & taxea etc but MBA student study only theory in each sub even accounts.
so students learn each & everything but practically

  8. Careers are chosen and the degrees are obtained to meet the aims and ambitions in life. Job prospects, career opportunities, growth and scope etc are all considered before pursuing any degree or specialisation. Students aspiring or taking MBA programmes also, which are said to be most popular post graduate degrees want to weigh all the opportunities before opting for any specialisation.

Although MBA degree itself makes a difference in ones career but an appropriate specialisation keeps you at an edge in your career. One can specialise in either marketing, finance, operations, IT or human resource and others.

The choice of elective or specialisation is not only based on future career prospects but many other factors. A study by the Department of Management Studies, University of Madras reveals various criteria for selecting the specialisation

No, MBA is not necessary for better manager or business personality. Only experienced person can manage better becoz he is having the practical knowledge and according to me practically, a men can learns more than theoratical. MBA jst gives us theoratical knowledge bt a man bcomes a better manager wen he got some experience. Today all the top business men are the great examples for us. They are not even graduate and we r talking abt master's degree over here. An experienced man can understand the situation deeply and can take action accordingly.
All the great philosphers and fathers of management like F.W. Taylor, Henry Fayol had given their theories on the basis of their experiments which they had done that time. And by studying their experiences we people do MBA bt here one question arise, why cant we become a great manager by doing experience like them.
MBA is jst a media to reach in an interview but in actual only that person survive their who is having gud experience.
So only experienced person can be a better manager.
    "EXPERIENCE IS NOT WHAT HAPPENSTO A MAN;
IT IS WHAT A MAN DOES WITH WHAT HAPPENS TO HIM."

  12. The usefulness of the management education program has been hard to measure and evaluate. While it cannot be denied the stress on analytical abilities and concepts does give a broad view of what constitutes management, one can also learn the same through self studies easily if one can only exercise the disciplines of the academics into one's own lifestyle.

While we may have some big names who are business management graduates from the top global institutions, we also have the legends like Bill Gates, Michael Dell, Steve Jobs to mention a few while no major names who are MBA's come to mind as easily. Even Jack Welch of GE fame is a non MBA.

If business success is a matter of knowledge which is what the expensive management education business is touting, the knowledge industry itself is dominated by people who have hardly been to a management school and made a big success of it.

The legendary Peter Drucker does not come from a management educational background. Most of his management thought comes from practical observation of the business in action as a consultant and researcher. The management principles and theories propounded by him are taught in the management schools. His managerial thinking is at least 30 years ahead as some of his thoughts written even in the 50's is only now recognized as indispensable to running a business.

On the other side of the coin is the MBA's running companies like the GE, entire nation as in the case of President George Bush or the top global consulting organizations. How successfully is a moot point?

While the contribution of the MBA's cannot be denied in the mid levels, the leadership abilities are questionable. The phenomenal salaries and perks associated with the MBA's and the HR skewer towards them ignores the potential available and learning ability of the entire workforce. If the same amount of money and resources are spent in training and developing the non MBA workforce, organizations may be able to develop more leaders at a lower cost. SO ACCORDING TO ME M.B.A NT MATERS , WHAT MATERS IS UR MIND GAME............ DAT HW U ABLE TO LEARN ND APPLY SOMETHNG GREAT IN UR LYF ND BUSINESS
